#5Songs... Currently Getting Me Through Finals Week

Despite the fact that Christmas is only a few weeks away I still have yet to feel the Christmas cheer I felt last year. Although campus is decorated to the top with Christmas decor and I've felt a glimmer of spirit from the decorations at Macys, Walmart, and Target, for some reason I have yet to delve deep into my 130 plus Christmas songs. Instead I am still stuck in my usual country music. Here are 5 songs which have received the most play this finals week.
1. Toby Keith's Red Solo Cup
There are a lot of things I love about this song. First its fun. Second the music video is funner. And third it makes me not want to study at all (maybe thats why my studying habits have been less than ideal this semester?) Nonetheless, since downloading Toby's latest Cd "Clancy's Tavern" I have listened to this song on repeat.

2. Tim McGraw's Sing Me Home

There is little I love more than a good few hours listening to my McGraw collection and as I watch all my friends leave for home and I anxiously await the next few days before I get to go back to Massachusetts this song seems to capture every single emotion I'm feeling.

3. Toby Keith's The Taliban Song

While I realize, 2/3 of my songs are now TK, I recently re-discovered this tribute to American patriotism and I can't stop listening to it. It usually puts me in a better mood whenever I think how lucky I am to live in this country and my favorite line, "this is a patriotic love song" has now become my Facebook and Twitter about me.

4. Rascal Flatts's Things That Matter

When I get overwhelmed with work and everything else going on in my life, this song usually serves to put things in perspective. Its definitely the most played song on my iPod right now.

5. Eric Church's Keep On

I seriously have a deep obsession with Eric Church. I love blasting his music out my car window and one day if I ever own a truck it will be even the much better. This is one of my favorite Eric Church songs because its just...pretty awesome.
